Transferring dataTRANSFERRING DATA FROM POCKET PC TO DESKTOP
There are three main ways to transfer data from the Pocket PC to a desktop:
Ø Using a Pocket PC SD card Ø Using Microsoft Active Sync Ø Bluetooth Using a Pocket PC SD card, Active Sync, and Bluetooth:
When a test has been saved it resides in the Pocket PC main memory. The Manage Data screen shown on the right is used to transfer data files from the Pocket PC main memory to the SD card. The SD card can then be removed and used to transfer Black Lab test data to the desktop by using an SD card reader. Card readers are inexpensive and can be used to transfer data and for longer term storage and backup. Active Sync and Bluetooth are other convenient ways to transport Black Lab data to the desktop for further analysis and data storage. In some cases, these methods may be faster than writing data to a storage card since it takes a bit more time to store data on the card. Using Microsoft Active Sync:
Active Sync is a program that allows you to access the Pocket PC memory (files) in Windows Explorer on the desktop computer. When the Pocket PC is placed in its cradle that is connected to the desktop USB port, the Auto Sync program recognizes the Pocket PC as another device (drive) so you can access and transfer files.
